One other thing that I forgot to tell Paul, when the blank screen started, I was able to access the desktop only once by tapping the ESC key while the computer was rebooting, but I wasn't unable to open File Explorer to find out where I saved the restore point when it asked me to do so. That is how I wound up where I am today, by running FixWin to solve the OneDrive issue, which created this mess.
